Please tell us how you prioritise your work and give us an example that best demonstrates this ?

Does anyone have any ideas what the best way would be to answer a question like this ?

I would suggest you tell them how you prioritise your work and give them an example that best demonstrates this.
  • Oh how I love flippant comments in reply to serious questions, they just make my day.

This is a competency-style question and they are looking for a general comment on how you work out your priorities on a day to day basis and want an illustration of your skills in action. I've no idea what sector you work in or the job you are applying for so can't give you an example but here's a link that might help:-

Well how do you? Do you write a list of things, have memos pop up in screen. Could be anything depending on the job and how you do it

Does 'Covey's Quadrants' mean anything to you OP?
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

    Gotta love Covey's Quadrants :D

I've explained it on here before so I'm not going to do it again - but really, this is not a tough application question...it's basic time management.

OP - there's several links already that should give you a wealth of stuff to put into your application if you get to work with google.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

make a list, check it twice, find out who is naugh......

    ok, I'll play fair ;-)

write all your tasks to do, find the most important/time pressured things in your role, list them in order and work away . . .

I do agree, google is most definitely your friend
