Rent costs rose in January, says LSL.
The cost of renting a home in England and Wales increased in January, a survey has suggested.
The average rent rose by 0.1% last month from December, to £712 a month, according to LSL Property Services, which owns Your Move and Reeds Rains.
It is the first increase in January that the firm has ever seen.
This is good news for BTL landlords as the returns on investment is increasing all the time - it's good for sellers of FTB homes as these are snapped up - it's great for FTB's as it makes buying even more of an obvious choice - it's great for the economy as it shows people are willing to pay whatever it takes to rent where they want to.
All round - EXCELLENT!
