The more searches you have the more it will affect your score. If it's only 2/3 in the last 6 months it shouldn't affect the score too much but anymore and it will do so. The key is, don't get searched unless you really have to.
As for Northern Rock refusing the mortgage, this seems odd if you have a clean credit report, it's not based on affordability is it? Have you circumstances changed, perhaps salary etc?Still in debt but with a positive attitude and enjoying watching it decrease each month. :beer:0
