Sorry, can't think of any way you can split the powders up again!
Speaking as someone with sensitive skin (who can only use non-bio from certain brands) I wouldn't risk using the mixture for your OH. When my OH found a freebie from somewhere - or when we were using up old products from before my allergy - we washed his clothes separately in the stuff I can't use. Meant having to change our washing rota a bit but it worked.
We also used it up for things like bath mats, the shower curtain, throws, etc. basically, anything which doesn't come into direct contact with my skin.
Obviously, we had to buy more of my product for me to use but over time, the cost will even out I suppose.
Unless anyone has any ideas for a special powder-filter, that would be my suggestion.

No way to seperate it really, keep that for the 'not for DH' washing and buy some more I think would be the best bet. I think maybe not to buy the stuff he's allergic to in future then no risk of mixing. One day I might be more organised...........

Is it safe for a 3yo to be playing with soap powder??

Aren't they great when they help out, bless them!!
As said before, i don't think there is a way to sort it out, you may just have to buy some more, but how about selling the extra powder on Ebay in batches? I think there are threads on here stating that others have bought washing powder on Ebay - just state that it has been mixed!
Or get another family member to buy you some fresh powder, then give them the mix?Buy nothing for a month challenge - Oct

I too would be worried about a 3year old playing with soap powder unsupervised but that's another issue:D
The bit that OH is allergic to is only 1/3 of the mix. I would try
1. Halving the amount of powder I would normally use
2. Using extra rinses until this batch has gone
to see if you can get away with using it without rendering poor OH a sore, scratchy mess. If he still has problems with it I would just use it on non OH stuff until it is used up.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
