  • I have tried selling on eBay. But I had issues as buyers would just complain about it having minor scratches and eBay would then always side with the buyer, and then they can leave negative feedback and ruin your rep and you cannot do the same. Ebay is favoured for buyers and thus I was banned for performance reasons even though I was a genuine seller. So I'd avoid eBay.

There is a magazine called "Record Collector" - http://www.recordcollectormag.com/ - might be worth looking at, may give you an idea of the value of the records and if they are being actively sought by any advertisers.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

You could also pop by discogs.com, a huge database of loads of music releases. You can sign up, tick which records you have, then whack them on its internal marketplace. For every release, it lists how many others have it and crucially how many others want it.

Not sold anything myself on there, but might be worth checking out.
  • ...never EVER list any of those records as "Mint condition". The vast majority of the most serious record sellers don't even do that themselves, as it's so hard to deem something "perfect".

There is a grading system somewhere on the Internet that is well worth looking at, otherwise, like an earlier poster said, you'll get complaints about the tiniest scuff marks and so forth.
