CCJ Help & debts

Hi there,
I am after a bit of advice really, I have a CCJ on my credit report that I got in 2007.
I made payments towards the debt on a monthly basis then stopped (I can't remember why!) Then I got a letter from a dca chasing for the balance which I ignored initially.
I am now trying to clear all my debts ups so contacted the dca but they have closed my account. I contacted the original dca aswell but they just redirected me to the new dca saying hte account has been passed on.
So what happens now with the ccj?
Also does anyone know what happens with old debts, when I started trying to clear my debt I had 13 defaults on my credit report so I started making F&F payments and now have 5 defaults. A couple of these defaults have ignored all correspondance from me.
The 6 years is up in the next couple of months so will they drop off the report? If they do drop off then can they be put back on?
One of the original 13 defaults has dropped off my report but now they have sent a judgement notice so does that mean it will go back onto the report?
Many Thanks

Whose name is on the CCJ? Was it the original creditor? I would contact them regarding repayments, or contact the court the CCJ was issued by for some advice.
Defaults drop off your credit file 6years from the date of the original default. They cannot be added on again and the dates should never be changed.
If a creditor trys and suceeds in obtaining a CCJ against you (and you don't pay within a month of the judgement date) then that will appear in the public information section of your report for 6years from the date of the CCJ, but the account entry and default will not reappear in the credit account section.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

What do you mean by that?
They they have obtained a CCJ? Was the letter from the court itself?
Or just that they are going to try to get a CCJ?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Well I checked my credit report initially the debt was on there then I got an updated credit report a year later and it wasn't showing anymore and I had a notification to say it had been removed.
I have received a judgement order that I have to complete and send back to the solicitors but it only said failure to keep up with payments agreed would result in a CCJ.
But the other one I had went onto my credit report despoite me making payments so that is why I am confused0 -
If they obtain a CCJ against you it will go on your file. Regardless if the judgement says you can pay in installments or must pay all back at once. The only time a CCJ is not put on your file is if you pay in full within a month of the court date.
What have you received exactly? notice of a county court judgement that has been granted, or notice of their intention to apply for a judgement/court papers for you to complete to accept or defend the claim?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
