Any lender will want to have their own valuation carried out I'm afraid. Each survey & valuation is prepared specifically for the person commissioning the work & is not transferable to another person or lender.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

you can sometimes arrange for the valuation to be re-written which wil cost you a lot less than another full valuation. remember that you would only ned a valuation not another full survey.

  • have you asked your current lender what their best deals available are?

they may be able to offer you a better deal than the svr
  • as long as the surveyor who values your house is one of your new lenders recognised valuers then some lenders will consider doing a retype on their standard valuation paperwork. so it will depend on your new lender and who values the property
