I couldn't see a thread started, and am on my lunch break, finalising menu, so thought I would get it up here.
It's OH birthday next week, so we are out for 2 nights and then a special sunday dinner (I get to play with a Heston recipe-he can only blame himself if it's horrible, as he won't let me do my normal way-he wants Heston
 )
Mon 20 pasta with roasted veg sauce
Tue 21 pork chops baked with stout and mustard, baked potatoes, green veg
Wed 22 paprika braised chickpeas with kale
Thu 23 sticky asian salmon &greens
Fri 24 out
Sat 25 out
Sun 26 Roast rib of beef with a bone marrow sauce, roast potatoes, veg and possibly yorkies. This will be a good, dry aged, 3 rib of beef from the farm shop, and will hopefully be very tasty...

Thanks for posting - should your post be dated the 20th rather than the 27th?
Monday - college
Tuesday - carrot and lentil soup with homemade scones followed by pancakes
Wednesday - pasta bake (not sure what yet)
Thursday - college
Friday - jacket potato with cheese and beans
Saturday - sausage rigatoni with garlic bread
Sunday - [STRIKE]sweet and sour chicken with rice and prawn toast[/STRIKE] chickpea and parsnip curry with rice and naan bread
Change to Sunday as I have this made already and saves buying anything extra for the S&S sauce.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Thanks for starting us off this week, hotcookie.
MY plan for last week went a bit awry, as predicted, largely because the joint of pork I bought got rubberised for three meals, with a couple of portions in the freezer for another time. :money:
This week goes (hopefully):
Friday - lazy chicken parmigiana (made with bought breaded chicken, which I got on special offer)
Saturday -Indian fakeaway - chicken tikka masala (a JO recipe from one of his book's that I've just acquired on a special offer); veg curry (made a with a free packet of spice mix I got months ago); HM onion bhajis and naan bread
Sunday - steak pie with veg
Monday - vegetable chow mein
Tuesday - veg chilli with quesadillas
Wednesday - beef burger in a bun with salad
Thursday - snack meal out with friends - a local pub is selling posh hot dogs for charity, and it would be very uncharitable and unsociable to refuse to eat one
Friday - fish, chips and mushy peas (from the freezer, not the chippie, sadly)

We pretty much stuck to last weeks plan but DH has had chest infection so a couple of planned meals were bumped for chicken soup (which we all thoroughly enjoyed) but nothing wasted/bought extra.
This week we are having:
Thurs - Lamb koftas, pittas, shredded cabbage, carrot, red pepper, spring onions, olives, yogurt and sweet chilli sauce
Fri - hm haddock goujons, chips and peas
Sat - (lunch) Brie and cranberry panini/beans on toast
(tea) Lamb curry, rice, poppadoms and maybe naan bread
Sun - (lunch) Roast Gammon hock, mash, sprouts & carrots then mixed fruit crumble & custard
(tea) Boiled eggs & soldiers
Mon - Crepes with creamy ham (l/o roast from yesterday) & mushroom filling then scotch pancakes with syrup/jam (DH out tomorrow so doing these today instead)
Tues - Macaroni cheese with ham and peas
Wed - Pea and ham soup with hm tattie scones (l/o mash from Sun)
Hope everyone has a great week.0 -
