Jobsite scams?

After uploading my C.V to jobsite a few days ago I have been receiving some very dubious job offers. Has anyone else got anything like this?

The first one was from this supposed company holmaninvestment.com

They send you a job offer which is a pretty much work from home job. You have to complete a training course first - Only 2 hours a day and of course, paid for 30 pounds a day. You just have to fill in the application form including your bank details of course and somone will contact you. So many things are wrong with it, they use the International Trucks logo on their website, their office is a hotel, no phone number listed despite them being a sucessful business. The secretary is trying to recruit people for them at 3.30 in the morning though, so they do work hard.

Then received another one this morning from an outsourcing company (Hi-Tech Source Ltd), very good wages seeing as you only work 9 -11am and trasfer money in and out of your own bank account.

The website was a lot better done this time but just sounds so dubious. This one actually includes a phone number and is written in decent English.

Is anyone else receiving this stuff? How many of these things am I going to get? Is there anywhere you can report this to jobsite? Slightly concerning that I've been on there for less than two days and I'm being sent this stuff. I'm sure there are people that are desperate for work that will send an application including their bank details to these people.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Millsy

Yes I have got some recently all i do is delete them, this has been going on for ages, I never enter my bank details or anything else for that matter, One adage i go by is if it sounds to good to be true it normally is and ends up in the deleted book and goes into my junk folder for future reference.

Holman Investment is a work-from-home money laundering scam. I would guess it's been set up by Russians. There are lots of similar websites set up by them all using the same images which have been stolen from a legitimate, reputable company. Here's one of them.

I can't find any details of Hi-Tech Source without a web address but they've more or less told you it's another money laundering scam. The bit about working 9-11am is just a bit of nonsense designed to fool you into thinking it is a proper job.

If you are concerned about future email offers ask on MSE. Otherwise hit the delete button.

which site did you load cv to? most should give option to withhold your phone number, from agencies / employers?

report to the site, or fraudaction site (link?) if looking iffy.

jf you have an email account with gmail, and say your address was MillsyUK@gmail.com

you could use MillsyUK+hol@gmail.com, MillsyUK+moneysavingexpert@gmail.com etc.

This will allow you to track incoming email and easily remove the spam ones.

The downside, while the + is a recognised legal character in email, some sites do not let you enter the + .

report to the site, or ?? if looking iffy.

I have it on a few - Jobsite, Graduate Jobs and Monster.

I think all these scam ones are coming through from Jobsite though. I tried looking for somewhere to report them on Jobsite but couldn't see it. I am sure there is a way to do it but might not be that obvious.

Getting lots of spam after registering with Monster and Jobsite, non-existent jobs, too-good-to-be-true offers of working from home etc etc
