  • £48624 left to go :), we decided to push ourselves and throw some cash into the offset, that will force is to be more frugal this month!! We have loads of leeks onions and potatoes from the allotment so it looks like a batch of soup is going to be needed. I need to try and get it down to 45k by the end of the year. £200 of nectar points should help through the Christmas period:D. God this is one hell of a challenge.

    You're doing really well, but please try to live a little as you're doing it - it's a long journey so another month or two is not the end of the world.
    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Thanks guys, this is very true gallygirl, it's all about the right balance. However the lower that debt gets the more tempting it becomes to put in an extra few quid. I don't think I'm going to cancel Christmas just yet :)
