I Wanna Phillips MP3 Player - Can't Find It, Anyone Help?

Hi everyone,

Hope someone can help here.

I picked an mp3 player from Argos (nnooo I hear you say!) but this was the only place I could find that stocked it.

I was actually looking for the 2gb one, which is in the catalogue but NOT on the website?

I tried to purchase in Argos, out of stock, EVERYWHERE. Phoned CS to see why as it is a new catalogue, couldn't tell me anything, phone Phillips.

I phone Phillips and they have never heard of it and the guy was saying he can't give me any pre-sale information? Well I thought it was already on sale, it's in the catalogue!!?

Any one shed any light on this?

not that one? screen is only a tiy bit smaller. 1.7 compared to 1.8

The difference in screen size between the two looks more than 0.1 inches?
Liked the look (and the price) of the other one, that was the main thing.

That one looks pretty good (price wise) SG, I like the Argos one as the screen looks 'stretched' the full width of the unit.

Just puzzling why I can't find it anywhere!

Not sure about ipods though, heard a lot of bad reports and also can I transfer music that is already on my PC (downloads etc) onto the ipod?

it's totally different Stacey. That IPod is just for music whereas the Phillips one will play music.
i know what you mean about the screen on the first one but you have to remember it's only a 1.8inch so it might make the unit seem bigger than it is o the picture.
I've just ordered one of the 30gig ones cos it was a good price.

You can trasfer existing music but you need to let ITunes find it and convert it.

Think I may go for the deal one. What is the opinion on refurbs? If it were to break/not work, who deals with it? Amazon or Philips? Would I have any come back?

Also, SG, as you have been soo helpful ;-) do you happen to know what size that one is you posted? Can't get a sense of size in the pictures, maybe that is why I don't like the look of the screen.

if they come with warrenty then there shouldn't be a problem and it should be with who you bought it off.

Although reading it i'm not sure if it plays movie files, it does music and pictures but i'll find out when i get mine.. lol

Strange that Philips CS have never heard of it as its on their website:

It IS also listed on the Argos site but all my local stores are showing out of stock Philips SA3125 at Argos

Product launch delayed perhaps?
