I don't know where to find this out - if any one knows it's you lot!
I've bought a few things on ebay recently most particulrly a snow suit for my son and curtains for his room. The items have been washed by the previous owner in some sort of biological powder with a really strong smell. My son has excema and I need to get rid of the residues from the things. I've washed them several times in persil at hot and cold washes and left them hanging on the line for days in all sorts of wind and rain and you can still smell it! When I hung the curtains up my son said the smell was making him sick and I must admit it did me too! I guess you get un-used to scented products when you don't use any. Help please!!

If you are re-washing, then don't use any more powder, just the vinegar.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

I get hand-me-downs for the MATHLETTTS from my cousin which are washed in a strong smelling 'quality' wash powder and it takes quite a few washes to remove the scent. HTHLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0
