Grants?

Given my current demotion in job role, I am looking into doing some courses to both support my career, and to help improve it.
Are grants to do the courses / exams available to someone currently in work?
They're mainly IT and Business courses I am looking at. I've love to go to Uni as a mature student and do Meteorology etc but I need money to run my house lol.
Thanks

If your working then you will have to pay for most courses, unless the course is free or your employer pays for them.
There are career development loans for people wishing to do courses but you have to pay them back. Look into the courses you want to do and then phone up the institution running them and ask about cost/funding.They will tell you.
There are specific grants people can get through accessing grant making trusts but these tend to be for vulnerable groups such as people with mental health problems, lone parents etc. Not for people who work full time.0 -
Im working, bad credit history, so getting a CDL will be a no no lol.
thanks for your reply though. I'll just have to try and save up as my work wont pay for them.As at End of June 2014
