Please help Ideas for Dinner Next week, been shopping without menu Plan!

In an effort to get organised today I went shopping and got lots of yummy things, however I didn't menu plan first so fallen at the first hurdle!

You lot are so creative that I'm hopeful you might be able to suggest yummy ideas, second problem is I am doing weight watchers points plan so need to watch what I am cooking for me to eat!

Any help appreciated, I need to feed me and DH, 3 dd's aged 12,9 & 3. Not fussy eaters and will try most things.

I got the following from the butchers;

Large piece of pork- roast pork for sunday but at least half of it will be left

1lb sausages

a large chicken

dozen eggs

sausage meat (given to me by butcher, lovely man, said to make stuffing to go with pork but don't know how):D

Lidl, loads of half price veg incl.

savoy cabbage
potatoes
carrots
sprouts
onions
garlic
mushrooms
brocoli

have usual store cupboard bits and I'm looking for a quick tea on Monday & Tuesday (days I'm at work) and something for Wed & thursday if at all possible (might be asking too much)

Extra veg available

Many thanks

Do you not have the booklet with point values for everyday foods and ingredients? They even do a twist 'n' dial thingy where you can calculate the points on ready meals/ processed foods from the calorie and fat gramms info. When I've point counted if eated always eaten a very varried a diet.

Off course I stoped counted once I hit target weight:whistle: :rotfl:

    Math you lucky thing!!!

I have a long way to go diet wise (want to loose about 5 stone but lost 8lb in 4 weeks and will keep going!)

I'm really nervous of cooking and working out points so any ideas appreciated.

If you struggle with points, why not switch to core? It's really simple, you have a huge list of 'free' foods (meat, veg, fruit, pasta, rice etc) that you can eat as much of until you are comfotably full for three meals a day, you can snack on fruit and veg, and have 21 points per week for snacks that aren't fruit/veg, or for other things as part of your meals (eg butter, bread, crisps, sauces - whatever!)

Sun - Roast pork, pots, sprouts, carrots, half the broccoli
Mon - Pork stir-fry, left-over pork cut into strips, sliced cabbage, broccoli, mushrooms, onion. Add a stir-fry or sweet and sour sauce and some cooked noodles.
Tue - Sausage and mash. Grill sausages, rather than fry. Mash with low-fat spread and lots of black pepper! Onion gravy.
Wed - Roast or casseroled chicken.
Thur - Omelettes, cheese and onion for the kids and OH. Mushroom for you?
Fri - Sausagemeat patties. Mix with potato and onion plus egg to bind. Shallow fry in oil. Serve with chips and beans or salad and jacket pot.
Sat - You've used all your food and I've run out of ideas - homemade pizza?
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

harvey, if you have any questions about it the weightwatchers forums are great - https://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/community/mbd/index.aspx - there is one specifically for core, and it's SO easy to do.

Some of my meals so far on core have been lemon chicken and rice (allow 1pt for the lemon chicken sauce)
poached fish with hm oven chips and peas
    kedgeree
    Omlette with mushrooms and bacon
baked potatoes with extra low fat cream cheese and pineapple or beans
    chilli and rice
chicken/pork chow mein )(again, allowing 1 pt for the sauce)
    lasagne
    roast dinners
    steak, chips and veg
    spaghetti and meatballs

and you hardly have to point anything!
