Hi Molly are you talking about your SOA??
If so the easiest way is this:-
Angie’s explanation of how to fill in a couples SOAAngiepange wrote: »We had a similair dilemma when we went BR with how to present our SOA.
All we did was put the same outgoings and the same income on each form.
On my SOA we put my income as 0 and then under question 6.6 'do you receive any other income ie benefits' I put down our child benefit and child tax credit. I put my husbands full wage as his contribution.
On husbands SOA we put down his full income and under question 6.7 we declared my contribution (child benefit and child tax credits)
So both our SOA's exactly mirrored each others in total income and total outgoings.
Had no problems this way
If the ring would fetch £1,000 or more at auction then put it down if not......don't x

i would not put the ring down, because if you do , you will prob lose it, and if that was going to happen , id sell it first to the gold shop and use the money for my BR fees.
They will not ask.
They are normal people and will not turn up and check the contents of your home. Just in case you forgot to tell them.
The OR when you speak to them will be intrested in why you became insolvent.
Court will be fine , dont worry and good luck.if only life was a box of chocs0 -
I put down bits and bobs of jewellery - 5 or 6 things all worth less than £200 each and the OR asked me to take them to her agent the day after court for valuation - I don't know if Ill lose them - he told me that if he cant clear a certain amount after the fees they wouldn't bother but I didnt think Id even get to that stage given the minimal value of such small things inc earrings (who wanst 2nd hand earrings!!)
Good luck - for me court was nowhere near as bad as I thought - its the interview Im dreading as does everyone!0 -

You are no more likely to lose it if you put it down than not, either it is an asset or it is not, which is for the Trustee to take a view on.
If the OP genuinely believes that it is not of a sufficient value to be classed as an asset then there is no need to put it down, if they believe that it may be of sufficient value, then simply not wanting to lose it is not a valid reason for omiting it from the formsHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Most engagement rings with today's cost of metal will well exceed what it was purchased for. Its the metal not the stone that will make it a high price.
I took a load of broken stuff in a few months, stuff from when i was a teenager, ear rings and what i thought was general junk , it was light IMO in weight that rubbish was valued at near on 500 pound i was shocked i thought id get around 50 pound. I was a very happy person i can tell you.
So id bide caution if it would be a heartbreaker to lose it.if only life was a box of chocs0 -
I wouldn't have declared it, You're losing enough by entering BR without possibly being asked to give up your jewellery too.0
