Oily/greasy hair stain on headboard

Has anyone had to deal with this before and, if so, any success?
OH's greasy hair has made a stain on the fabric of our bed headboard. I don't want to 'attack' this until I'm fairly sure that what I'm doing stands a chance of succeeding.
I'd be grateful for any any advice.

I've always tackled stuff like this with a warm iron and kitchen roll !
Gets wax crayon off walls so i would think anything greasy would work as well*Spendi*

Thanks for that idea, Spendi. It had occurred to me but I was uncertain about the effect of the heat on the fabric.
Am bumping this one in case people have more thoughts.0 -
If you do try the iron, make sure that it is set to VERY low! Ideally try it on a bit that can't be seen to make sure that you aren't going to melt a hole in your headboard.
