frustrated trying to find a 'green' fridge freezer

My apologies but I'm going to vent here as hubby is doing the bathroom and can't listen to me and drill at the same time.
I've been going round in circles trying to find a fridge freezer that is of the highest energy efficiency possible, has enough freezer space, fits into the gap it needs to fit into, doesn't have any of those bloody impregnated anti-bacterial agents AND is reasonably priced (i.e under about £250).
What I thought might take an hour to research has taken me the better part of this afternoon and evening and I'm still no closer to choosing one. I'm now into spreadsheet and scoring territory
Meanwhile everything on the second shelf of my ancient undercounter freezer is slooooooowly defrosting at a miniscule but apparent rate day by day and I'm frantically trying to repack the middle shelf goods into the already groaning top and bottom shelves.
Arrrrrggggghhhh....all my hard work finding bargains to freeze is being undone....

I have a similair one to this, and it is vry roomy. I shop monthly for a family of 4 and only have to use my chest freezer to store the entire month's worth of milk and sliced bread.

These two are A rated for energy efficiency.

Also the comet website is good as you can filter by energy rating.

Then use a compare website when you find the model you want for the cheapest price :-)Give somebody a hug it costs nothing

Did you find anything? I think you might be asking for the impossible. After all, if it didn't cost money to make energy-efficient appliances, they would all be as efficient as possible.
Of course, the smaller the appliance you get with a given rating, the less energy it will use. None of these horrible "American" F/Fs, please!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
