British Gas debt?

Hi, i have a default on my credit report from British Gas. The default says ''satisfied''. I'm sure i have paid this but can't find any documents for it. I think i paid it in 2007. British gas have informed me that they passed it on to a Debt collection agency in 2009 as their records say it's still outstanding. Would my credit file show as satisfied if i hadn't paid the debt? I'm a little confused!!!
Thanks In advance!

Hi bus10rlh I would post your question on the DFW Board . You will get more help and support there, as this is the Bankruptcy board.
