Just before Christmas signed up for a three month free trial and received 2 dvd's. Watched them once then forgot all about them, realised if I dont want to be charged should send them back now, only thing is I cant find them anywhwere! Emailed them to let them know and find out what I should do and received an email saying £40.00 will be taken from my bank account. I know it is my fault but this seems like a lot to me. Anyone had any experience of this, or should I just put it down to experience! a costly one at that.

Unless you can find those DVDs, then nothing you can do. I say chalk it down to experience and move on.

They're a thread on the Freebies board abot LOVEFILM and it's a very long thread. A lot of us have had trouble with LOVEFILM. Don't expect any support or help from the customer service, they find ways of taking money from your account when you've cancelled the free trial and returned your disks...bet they loved it when you told them you'd lost the disks and they didn't have to find an excuse of how to get money out of you! They took £15 from me claiming I hadn';t cancelled in time as my disks were never returned. They claim they never got them and must have got lost in the post!

It's free and at least you have proof of despatch then.

When I was with one company, I used to get a POP every time but then I started with another company and never did. So far only had one film not arrive back and just filed a form at their site and they wrote it off.
