i have recieved a pension statement which was taken out by my old employer. no monies have gone in for several years,it states i have paid in £1,520 the value now is £974.53 is this right. By the way the pension company is AEGON.

It means that if you want to transfer it to another pension, someone has to be paid to do this, which is why there is the difference.
All you have to do is just leave it where it is for the moment till it balances out. And it will, one day, because the pension will grow upwards, best thing to do is just absolutely forget about it for now.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

How is it invested and when was it invested.
Investments go up and down. It is possible it is down on its original amount. Or it could be an old plan that had front loaded charges on the regular premium.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
