I completely take your point of view, and I am certain many of the points you raise are true.
I fully intend to actively seek employment else where however, but will not leave this job without another to go to.As at End of June 2014

I understand - just remember to think positive about the change when it comes to writing your CV/preparing for interview.
Whatever you think of the change - make sure a potential new employer doesn't feel the slightest bit of your frustration. Practice what you would say in an interview on why you are leaving - base it on the truth - but bend it a little - Good Luck !0

            Thank you
Im not opposed to the change per-say, as I think it will benefit the company in the long run. Its just not how I see my career progressing. I'd rather be someone as an assistant manager as at least that way my career has the option of progressing, which is something that my "new" role doesnt give me.
I guess the term is Suck it up and just get on with it..As at End of June 2014

            I wasn't suggesting that you don't like change...it was just a tip.
What I was trying to say is that there are cunning devious HR Managers (who moi?) are trained to pick up on any perceived weaknesses in interviews and drill down if they think there may be an underlying issue (and they train Managers to do the same) - interviews are subjective and if there's the slightest doubt they'll go with another candidate. Good candidates practice their answers until they at least sound like the truth.0
