My provider has asked me to attend a course for 2 days at their centre in the classroom with their trainer for the above course. I dont trust their courses really and want to know if it really might help you. Its voluntary to not mandatory.
Anyone done it?
Anyone think these classroom courses help you to get a job?

NVQ Entry Level 3 is a very Basic grade, As a bench mark NVQ 2 is equal to a GCSE at grades A* to C. The course they are offering is two levels below this. Not the sort of grade that will impress a employer.0

what I dont understand is how can the provider deliver the training in 2 half days it says the full course is one year when i researched it?:footie:0

It may not be the full award, it might only be unit awards from it.0

Thats what I thought, how can they do the full course in 2 half days? How can that help you?:footie:0

Depends on the course. Some are at a certain level e.g. E3, L2 etc as that is the level of learning but are not a Full Level Qualification. Sounds odd but for example, Prince2 Foundation is approx. Level 2 - 3 but is not the equivalent of GCSE or A Level as it is not a Full Level 2 - 3 qualification, it does require that level of learning though.0

So what ive been asked to go on is not a full qualification and not one that would really impress an employer anyway. Nothing the wp has ever offered has led anywhere.:(:footie:0

As above - what have you got to lose?
(If you want to work in care, surely there are jobs around that don't need qualifications or experience?)0 -
If you PM me details of the course I will let you know, might be useful.0
