So as my pp was wrong am i right in thinking that a CCJ can never become statute barred??
I thought all debt became statute barred after 5 years or is that 6??
grrr justr when i though i knew what i was talking about it turns out that i infact dont!??

Answered on this thread so we don't take this one off topic from the OPs problem.

  • Should OP not have cancelled the contract with the network she was on rather than CPW? I thought CPW just set the contracts up and got their commission. Therefore why would she owe CPW and not the network? I can't understand why she would have a DD to CPW in the first place.

Apologies if I got it wrong and that is not the way it works!

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Hi guys,
    Thanks for all your replies.
I decided to phone the solicitors to see what they had to say.
Turns out the balance is ZERO!
According to their files it was paid in 2007 and the CCJ should be 'satisfied' and should cause no problems with my credit rating. Hmmmm.
I wish i could explain this, but ive no memory of paying it. He did mention my mum's old address as where they were sending the letters to. She was selling the house at time, so maybe she paid it for me, just never mentioned it??
    I do not know.
At least its done with. Hes writing to court to get it satisfied & sending me a confirmation letter.
So thanks for your help again : )
