  • Hello all :)

If I was to use a JTD voucher for an online shop (yeah feeling lazy:D) do I just hand over the receipt and voucher and they refund me the amount after a few days? :)

I've never understood why people buy buy fondue sets and other gimmicky things like popcorn makers, chocolate fountains, candy floss makers etc etc only to be used a few times before ending up in the back of the cupboard for a few years before ending up on a carboot stall.:rotfl:

Must admit our fondue hasn't seen the light of day for many years. We bought ours in the 70s before they were commonplace and a fad. We had to order it and have it imported from Switzerland:eek: (It is very well made and stylish however, heavy pan, big sturdy base and big copper burner)

Most people associate fondues with cheese but they are more versatile than that. We used to fill ours with hot oil and it would be used to cook individual small pieces of meat or fish selections in the sort of style that I've had in Japanese restaurants.

It's a very social way of eating and takes the pressure off the cook to get everything just the way the guests like things!:rotfl:

Must dust it off and try it out again. Could be the start of a revival:)

Happy - It depends if there is a weekend in the middle its working days. I'll check how long my last one took.

England v Holland I bet I don't manage to sit & watch the whole game. i may try & find the Hungary friendly on the net to see if my fav player Akos Buzsaky is playing I know he's in the squad but I don't want him injured for Saturday
