You could be the fastest wombler in the West with those two items!0 -
We are lucky enough to have a milkman in our village and I am very proud to buy my basic everyday supplies from him, (then I get additional bits from Mr T).
Milkmen are brilliant, they supply something wonderful (milk on your doorstep when you get up for your breakfast, how great is that ?), they don't make ridiculous money, and they are the quiet silent reassuring presence, the eyes of the decent community early in the morning, the friend of the elderly and the lonely. I think milkmen (and ladies) are something really special and unique to this country and we should be proud of them. If they're not depicted in the Olympics opening ceremony, they b..... well should be!
Sorry, I'll go and lie down now...
I totally agree with you which is why I didn't place an order with that Milk and More site in case it is the actual milkman who is out of pocket.0 -
I am totally new to this ssm lark. I have just gone on as luvvlyjumbly but don't know what to do? I haven't been keeping up with the thread but have seen lots of posts which i don't really understand.

Didn't do too bad for less than an hour. Managed 22 cards and all at 99p each :T
That made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Normal service shall be resumed tomorrow. No real bargains today though I did buy a top for DS2 saying Lepre ... lepra ... hold on while I Google how to spell it ... Leprechaun in training:D He was born on Paddy's Day so a very good reason to celebrate it this year and to scar my boy for life in the process! My kids will love me when they see their baby snaps :rotfl:
Oh and I should mention that WHSmith in Belfast is closing this Sunday for good. They had all their greetings cards reduced to 99p. They also are no longer WHS but have been bought over by Eason. Lord knows why but they're still trading as WHS and have all the signage still in place so the deal was a no go for meStill, 22 good quality cards for 99p each isn't to be sniffed at. I even bought my parents anniversary cards. No literally, I bought my dad a card that says "To my wife" and I bought mum "To my husband". How romantic :rotfl:
I think the local folk will join me in saying, we need a decent glitch that we can participate in :mad: I did wonder why the WHS site only mentioned 2 stores, one in Belfast City Airport and one in Londonderry. We have a rubbish selection of Ts, excess postage charges and no WHS for all these regular glitches that apparently happen. I'm emigrating!
Nicely done. I beat you by one card but took me all day. Kept getting trouted....I'd do fine for a few in each store before someone would come along and inform the SA that HO had been on the phone informing that they couldnt take gift cards for gift cards.
Got trouted by a lad in one store (Hi Liam!!!) who had been doing it in all his breaks for days at work! The other SA was reluctant to serve me often as he was doing em for the other lad! Crikey it was like being back at Tesco!!! lol.
Still 23 cards and £84 on the dot on gift cards. Made a change from T's too.
My OH got trouted big style in T's today. She phoned me to ask about a nice electrical item and its price as she'd found an SEL some days out of date. I didn't know the item in question so she took a chance and bought it..........it scanned at double the SEL so wahey, off to CS she went and both her and the CS lady walked to the shelf where low and behold no label was on the shelf anymore! It had vanished in less the 4 minutes!!! Very odd.
Still that store have given us a few nice DTD's and you can bet yer bum that despite them winning this little battle, we'll have them again for sure!0 -
