...Happy if you met me we wouldnt understand each other, I'm a Londoner and your Scottish:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:My brothers best friend is Scottish and when he talks quickly to me I just smile a few times and nod. We'd have to communicate sitting at the table on our computers:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not really. Would you struggle with a geordie accent?
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

No, no problem, just the cartridges are worth nothing when it comes to recycling the old ones. :(

unless hes planning on turfing your DH when they meet, but that not a custom ive ever heard of before:rotfl:

i know what you mean about smiling and nodding when you cant quite 'catch' someones accent, i was born a yellowbelly but left when young so dont think i have it but within an hour of going back home with her sisters my mum slips back into 'mate speak' (does every sentence in lincolnshire have to have the word 'mate' in by law?) anyway i thought id lost 'it' but went to london with a friend on a day trip years ago a newspaper seller asked us where we were from when we said leicester he looked at me and said not talking like that you dont! my kids talk some lesta pronouncing most things with 'a' with on the end but ive not got that yet and ive lived here longer than them :rotfl:but they dont talk quite like their friends so i think some of my speak has rubbed off on them

Would you understand "You've got mail" if I was to say it?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm sure we'd manage, I've lost my country accent/dialect since moving in the town. :(

Yes but you'd say this "Shaa we gang tae tesco" and I'd say "Sorry Ah didnt kin ye.":rotfl::rotfl:
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Pit stop you! I've been managing to pass off being Scottish as an excuse for my tightness! Now everyone will know I'm just plain mean.

Besides, we've been up here that long I consider myself Scottish.
