  • Thats more than i do! At christmas i washed my tablecloth and hung it up to dry rather than iron it! 4 years in this house and i think i've only got the ironing board out 3 or 4 times. I just dont buy stuff that needs ironing :j

Last time I ironed properly was a few months after I got married to DH over 12 yrs ago. I realised that it was pointless wasting my time ironing when DH just went through his clothes and they ended up in a ball anyway :D
It was DH who discovered the tumble drier trick of putting shirts in for 10 mins and they came out like they'd been freshly ironed, his aunt was very impressed when I told her he ironed all his own stuff :rotfl:

My father in law is 90 years old and I do his ironing. He gives me bags which include "y" fronts and I just fold them over. He also includes lots of cotton handkerchiefs. I didn't think anyone used these any more. Bless him.

my late hubby used these and he was only 34!! He didn't like the feel of wet tissue so I went out and bought him a pack of these many years ago and just found one of them yesterday morning when going through a box of clothes to sort out for a charity shop :( brought back stupid memories of trying to explain in a shop what I was after

3Dogs, please dont ever think that we mind or think that you are "cluttering" up the thread, that is utter nonsense!

I think (and hope anyway!) that I speak for all of us here- you feel free to come and chat away on here- we are all here for you through, good, bad, ugly or sad. Sometimes it helps "talking" to strangers

Much love to you both xx

Hi SD memories are not stupid, they are always good memories :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

  • 3dogs cluttering no chance. QofC echoes my feelings too.

    Morning.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
