OMG WHAT'S HAPPENING, this is good, very good. I started doing SSM Mission again on Wednesday on behalf of MR LALA. I did all mine on Saturday. I've just been in to finish it and I've got £15 LTS for being a busybee and a £25 red letter voucher both processing, whats all that about?? Not that I'm complaining but I thought you only got these on Friday but mine are definately from Wednesday, just going back to investigate further. Must be my reward for helping Happy;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

RootedNomad wrote: »Yes, partially, but more significantly despite people taking time to patiently explain, Londinium seemed to miss the point as to why folk are going after jtd in the first place, which was his/her original question I think?
ie I want to buy a widget that costs £2 at T and it only costs £1 at A and the two items compare under Pricecheck. I have a £1 MOC for this widget but it is store specific to T.
Of course I can buy it at A for £1, only if I have an A nearby. But I can also buy it at T for £1 using my MOC (which I can't use at A). Therefore the point of going for jtd is that I can get that £1 back, therefore getting the item for free.
By using jtd people can get a double bite - the Asda bargain prices and additional money off. Lots have been doing this for some time (and similar for APG and Brandmatch) but jtd is particularly popular now because A is not participating in the SSM promotion and there is a deluge of SSM mocs (won't hurt to thank West is Best again for highlighting the promo in this thread!). AND on top we have had the £5 conditional spends at T!
Sure it needs a bit of careful planning and sometimes Pricecheck throws a wobbly, but there are serious savings to be had with potential for lots of free products, so I for one think it is well worth the effort. I think this is the bit that fell on deaf ears in Londinium's case?
Right, really really do need to get those SSM MOCs printed today!
^^ This
For as long as I've been doing JTD, it's been used as a way of reducing the effective cost of items. The easiest one is the wine glitch which I know a lot of people do. When Ts have the wine event on it's possible to get a £6.xx bottle of wine down to well under £2 (or if there's a promo on like £5 off £40, then a bottle can come in at under £1).
The key word though is effective and I maybe missed that in my initial post but it's the only reason I do JTD. I do so little normal shopping that I only go for JTD if there's MOCs like SSM or the £5 one to make it worthwhile stocking up. I'm not that bothered about the cc points but it does all contribute.
I don't claim to know all the ins and outs of why people do JTD but I nicely and politely explained why people do it but that fell on deaf ears. I appreciate that some people took the time to say thank you but that's not why I posted. This forum is meant to be about helping eachother not who can have the last 'dig'. Whether you use the JTD to offset against your initial outlay or whether you use it off your next big shop doesn't matter. The maths behind what I posted was correct and I know others have availed of it.dreamerbea wrote: »Are there any butter makers on here? Just had a mammoth butter making session with lots of whoopsied cream - I am new at freezing stuff so wondered if this freezes well and what is the best way to wrap it for the freezer? Any help is much appreciated:)
I roll mine into a garlic bread shape in greaseproof paper then I cut slices into it so I can take off what I need. The slices seem to remain intact when I freeze it unless I've had to ram the butter in (which is what quite often happens!).
Right I'm off to the trout farm to have fun with my coupons. I hope Trouty McTrouty is on today and inspects each and every one of them for I shall take great glee in using them as per her previous advice0 -
Well Mr Lala has gone to help move his mum today so won't be back till late;);) And it means I'll be making visits to some new T's now, she's moved Eastbourne/Brighton way. I've been there but am rubbish at places but have a feeling it may be MMW's way.
Happy you should check your FB now, I think at least 12 new coupons may have appeared while you were in bed;);):p:p
Just 12?
Slacker!:rotfl::rotfl:
Thank you very much mummy.:T:T:T0
