Thanks, haven't got a clue what I'm doing :o was thinking of browning mince & onions and chucking in slow cooker with red kidney beans, baked beans, chopped tomatoes and OEP chilli mix. Does that sound ok?

That's what I would do, however, I don't have a slow cooker YET (I am soooo gonna get one though as there have been some fantastic ideas posted on this thread).

  • Oh hun, bet you have lovely eyes too. My DS seems to be a money magnet, he seems to be able to spot 2p from 6 miles away. I have lost count of the number of times we have been out and he has come up to me with money he has found. OK, ok, he is the son of a scouser but his gains have always been acquired legally ;)

I think nothing of picking up a penny in the street.

When I was at school the other kids would throw away their loose change, mainly 2p, 5p and 1p coins but sometimes there were 10's and 20's. Quite often I would go home with more money than the amount of lunch money I left with in the morning.:beer:

I don't remember seeing your pic but my eyes were elsewhere (sorry Czerchy :o)

I never really paid much attention to the who/where we are bit as I lose track easily so I just try to remember the local misfits :p

Sounds good, I haven't tried it with the OEP, thats a good idea. Other than that I use what you have said and I also put a few good glugs of worcester sauce in some chopped peppers, if people dont like peppers the dried ones are good as they add flavour without anyone knowing. I add an oxo cube, mixed herbs, chilli powder and garlic. If the mix seems a little thick I have also been known to throw in a tin of tomato soup. You may want to add the beans/kidney beans towards the end so they dont go too soft and mushy.

Dont forget to wash and drain the kidney beans if you are using tinned ones, they are very slimy

When I was in my little local shop today, there was a woman in front of me who had just been served checking her change, when the SA opened the till to give me my change the woman said to her 'you gave me 1euro instead of a penny, I want it swapped'

I'd have kept the € as it's worth more than a penny. Unless it was €0.01c then I would have said something!:rotfl::rotfl:
