    My shopping this afternoon -

    Total to pay £41.70:eek::eek::eek:

    Total after coupons,price checks etc .. £6.82:T:T:T

The SA did proper scrutinise each and every one though but I made a point of thanking him for his help lol so I know he's OK!

I didn't use any SSM coupons at all today, I'd already planned this shop so they can be used next week for loads of free stuff and help me up to the £40 again!

    Good times!

    Well done!

Did you get your goodie bag, red letter day or free household itmes today ... or was that last night?

    Thanks.

No, I got those last night. I don't think anyone has got anything like this today. I doubt they'll be honoured though.

    Did You know?
    Just keep scrolling down.

After reading this, you'll go "duh, I didn't know that."
    "Stewardesses"
Is the longest word typed with only the left hand

    And "lollipop"
Is the longest word typed with your right hand.
(Bet you tried this out mentally, didn't you?)

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple.

"Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "MT".
    (Are you doubting this?)

Our eyes are always the same size from birth,
    But our nose and ears
    Never stop growing.

    The sentence:
"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"
Uses every letter of the alphabet.
(Now, you KNOW you're going to try this out for accuracy, right?

    The words 'racecar,'
    'kayak'
    And 'level'
Are the same whether they are read
Left to right or right to left (palindromes).
(Yep, I knew you were going to "do" this one.)

There are only four words in the English language which end in "dous": tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.
(You're not doubting this, are you?)

There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: "abstemious" and "facetious."
(Yes, admit it, you are going to say, a e I o u)

    TYPEWRITER is the longest word
That can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.
(All you typists are going to test this out)

A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.

A goldfish has a memory span of three seconds.
(Some days that's about what my memory span is.)

A "jiffy" is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second...

A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.

A snail can sleep for three years.
(I know some people that could do this too.!)

Almonds are a member of the peach family.

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.
(I know some people like that also)

Babies are born without kneecaps. They don't appear until the child reaches 2 to 6 years of age.

February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon.

In the last 4,000 years, no new animals have been domesticated.

If the population of China walked past you, 8 abreast, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction.

Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors

Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite!

Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.

The average person's left hand does 56% of the typing.

    The cruise liner, QE 2
Moves only six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns.

The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket..
    (Good thing he did that.)

The winter of 1932 was so cold that Niagara Falls froze completely solid.

There are more chickens than people in the world.

    Winston Churchill
Was born in a ladies' room during a dance.

Women blink nearly twice as much as men.

Bonus!! All the ants in Africa weigh more than ALL the Elephants!!

Now you know (a little) more than you did before!!

Hi Mr R , I'm no sure on this but I always thought the T price promise on DTD was that if they overcharge you they'll double the difference no mater what or how the overcharge occured , after all , all overcharges are mistakes of some sort .
Phone HO and try your luck there .

Yes thats what i was thinking the only problem is I have already spoken to HO twice in the the last week about this store was given £10 gift card on one call and I will speak to the store on the other call. Do I just leave it as its only a couple of quid ?
  • off to a new T's for me, again! Was in Carrick yesterday and Mum has suggested going to P0rtad0wn, one facig Peter Pans, so just sorted my MOCs into JTD generator (I hope) and others :)
Just hope they take them all, will end up costig me about £10 but didn't print out all my MOCs saving that for later today.
    Loving my wireless printer :)

I used most of my MOCs but tills wouldn't scan the SSM ones for Lenor or dettol :( Has anyone else had this happen?
    I got - 5 persil small and mighty = £11.00
    5 comfort pure = £ 1.25
    2 flash bathroom sprays = £ 0.00
    2 body form = £ 0.50
    2 bakers meaty meals 1kg = £ 2.98

OK so spent more than I thought but just remembered about the comfort + persil ones before I went out!
    SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Thanks, I got a couple of those last night, but I would have started trying again if they were still coming out!
As you said, I wonder if they will actually be honured.
