Maybe that cleaner should have worked a little bit harder. There are plenty of working class doctors.

You don't understand, the cleaner should just be able to become a doctor and get doctor's fees. He shouldn't have to train or work his way up or anything, that's just unfair.

Being a higher earner is unfair too.

I can't work out if you're on the wind-up or not.

If you really are as crazy as you sound and you're not, consider this.

    You have 2 'GPs' -

GP 1 did 5 years at medical school and 5 years post-graduate study
GP 2 worked in GP 1's surgery cleaning the toilet and decided to become a GP.

Given the choice, which would you take your child to see if they were ill?

You're paying for KATE - Knowledge, Advice, Time & Experience. GP1 has more knowledge, gives better advice and has more experience.

Edit : It's now clear that you're on the wind-up!
  • It's unfair that you know all that stuff about KATE. I should know all that stuff about Kate and get the same money as you. Life is unfair.

You are ignoring how unfair the system is, which is the very point we were discussing, therefore I would certainly take my child to see GP 2. But if I needed a cleaner I would hire GP 1.

I wouldn't take my child to either - surely the whole point is that I'd make just as good a GP as either of them!

Good point, I never thought of that! I wasn't being very MSE.
