I been offered a part time jop

I been offered a part time job in a supermarket, I didnt get the one I applied for,I need full time hours, but they told me I would always get the overtime, I will lose out on holiday pay,is there anyone here that does this , as i am in two minds as i scared that i may not always get the hours I need .

    I work in a supermarket re the overtime depands on the section you are working in im in checkouts there is normally overtime available on a first come basic the only time I find overtime is not availble is january. I'd go for it and see what happens.

    If you'd always get the overtime, then why hasn't the supermarket just offered you a full time position? I suspect the answer is that they can't guarantee the overtime at all.

    Are you working at the moment? If not, you might as well take it and see how it goes.

    My Mrs works part time in a supermarket, she gets holiday pay. We'd get more on JSA if she didn't work at all though.

    Annisele I sursect they that also they only have to pay a 16 hour week holiday pay which must save them £££ if they only employ part timers on the check outs, I am employed at the moment, so I dont need it ,But I do want to change jobs, also I am worry that to get full time hours, I may need to work six or seven days a week? I rather work fewer days but longer hours is 4 or 5 dys to get 38+ hours
