Hiya
Earlier this month I had a win of a childrens book which I remember from when I was younger and loved and now my little baby has it for when she is older :j It was thanks to a friend on fb who also comps
I am hoping my winning luck goes on now. I was curious to know how many comps you enter per day and how long it took for your first win? (If this is in the wrong place could it be moved, wasnt sure if there is a general competition discussion bit):D

Hi
I used to do this years 30 ago before the internet even existed and had some luck with my best win being a holiday to the Seychelles from a box of Swan vesta matches. I gave up when I went back to work after having children and ran out of free time.
I started again half heartedly about a month ago, and decided to give it a proper go about 2 weeks ago. I enter between 10 and 50 comps a night, mainly from here and emails ( once you start entering you start getting the competitions emailed to you by some companys).
I am amazed to have won a decent prize afer only a couple of weeks (£250 red letter day voucher). I only enter competitions to win prizes that I really want and can use/take. I don't do twitter comps (no twitter account) and stick to fb and email entries. I use the guidelines posted on here on how to keep track of my entries (marking each one as entered so I dont go in twice by accident) and if I miss a night it really doesn't mater. It is a good alternative to sitting infront of the tv, and nice to be excited about what may come in the post but I have a busy life with a big family so comping comes quite a way down the priority list.
I can only say thank you to all the people who post comps o here as I wouldn't have the time to search them out for myself. As for whether it is worth it - I think so, as long as it doesn't take over your life0 -
