Ok then, never mind. If it was from a parking company it may have been unenforcable but as it's a council fine you should definitely pay it.
You still haven't mentioned family or friends, if you're getting paid £700 in 2 weeks time surely that would be a better option?0 -
I think what we are all trying to say, sometimes in a banter(ish) manner is do not take a payday loan or a logbook loan.0

I'm not sure, I mean we haven't been very clear...My reply would be DON'T.Be very very careful, a lot of them have horrid reputations too and will not wait around very long before taking the car.I'd explore (if you haven't done so already) all other available avenues such as overdraft, credit card, friends, family before going down the logbook/payday loan line.I agree that there are definitely other options to consider though.if I was short a couple hundred quid I'd sell my scrawny !!!! before taking a loan from these scumbags.
P.S: Don't take out a PDL/Logbook loan0 -
Paying double the parking fine when the 14 days elapses will cost you considerably less than getting sucked into the PDL trap.0

Can you find ANY reason to appeal against the parking ticket. Best solution - you win and owe nothing, second best - they reject your appeal but extend the discount period so you can pay without a PDL, third best - you lose the 50% discount and pay the full whack once you have the money, worst case - someone gives you a PDL!Paying double the parking fine when the 14 days elapses will cost you considerably less than getting sucked into the PDL trap.
