IVA PPi Claims?

Hi all
I started my IVA in December 2007.
The cards and loans that I have the IVA on I know all had PPI on them.
At the time I was a student and when I tried to make a claim previously on one of them I was told that I didnt work enough hours to qualify so I am presuming that for all of them I had been missold the PPi as I was told that I had to have it as I was a student.
Can I still claim the PPI money back? Or will all of it be absorbed by my IVA company?
