Just out of interest how big can a state pension be - assuming you havn't deferred it.
According to the helpful leaflet NP46, the maximum Additional Pension a single individual can receive was £151.10 in 2008 (reference on page 40).
Add the £102.15 Basic State Pension to £151.10 and you are getting a bit over £250 as the top-end of State Pension that is possible without deferral.0 -
