Dentist/Clinical Adviser...been sent an appointment to have a check up

Has anyone else ever had to go see a Clinical adviser regarding their own dentist?
I've had an appointment come through to go to my local hospital in a few weeks time...not sure what to expect?

sometimes we have random spot checks carried out on patients we have seen. Not sure if thats what it is or not. I should imagine they will just have a look. Were you expecting it to come?

No i wasnt expecting anything....although at my last check up my notes went missing and i heard the receptionist say something along the lines of my notes had been pulled to be looked over.

All nhs dentists have their work inspected. Some peoples notes are called in for inspection, some people have a questionnaire sent to them and some people are called in at random to be checked over by the dental advisor.

It happens randomly and one if the things you agree to when you agree to have nhs work is that your records and yourself may be inspected routinely.

It's nothing to worry about, they dont do treatment, just look around and ask a few questions.
