Natwest Settlement figure
I obtained a settlement figure for my loan 2 weeks ago which was £7620.54. I called up today now Natwest say they have no record of that settlement figure and it is now £7655.04. I can track back the date and time of the call that I made, but do the settlement makes have an expory date of less than 2 weeks? Slightly annoying I have to pay an extra £35 but I assumed the settlement figures would be valid for 28 days.

usually you get one in writing then there is no scope for argument0

They didn't post it out for me...0

I would ask for a written early settlement figure which will say how long the quote is valid for; otherwise you are relying on some-one just reading from a screen0

I suspect with your kind of loan - where the interest is calculated on daily basis - hence the reason for the slight increase. Whilst some loans will state the settlement is valid until the next payment date.I owe £3233 @ 0%0

Thanks for the replies. I have a payment due out in a few days, would I be better off waiting for that payment to go out and get a new settlement figure? I don't really understand how the interest calculations work....0

As already mentioned - get a written projected confirmation , or or ask for final figure on the day and make a bank transfer - . I did that with nationwide loan recently.I owe £3233 @ 0%0
