[frowns and taps feet]
What did I say to you? First thing I said?
I said DON'T GOOGLE IT.
Knew you would. Flaming knew it. [wags finger]
And just so everybody sees it - if you decide you need it, I will haul my butt onto that train (well, bus/train/tube/tube) and go with you for that appointment.
So don't you go thinking you have to do this on your own if you don't want to!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Hope you are ok getting ready, glad the GP is on the ball.
On another note nigh time urination is a classic symptom of sleep apnoea, something to do with the OSA producing a weird hormone that makes you wee not sure of the details exactly but could be another way of the body of waking you enough to start breathing again.Booo!!!0 -
JO thanks but no way could ask you that... will be fine.
Violetta, that is what I though till I got those scan results..... you are not Polish are you?0 -

Hard not too but no point stressing until you get the results. Also commented on the weeing to let barneysmum know that it can be a symptom, as it's one of the lesser known ones.Booo!!!0 -
Ah, your name is written the way Polish would be, sorry
I kow peeing at night can be a symptom of OSA so nobody else needs to worry about it, just one of those things that can be normal.0 -
OK, my recent stay in a hospital (an op, not connected to sleep apnea) and I have discovered something, thanks to a very helpful nurse.
My oxygen levels were consistently low, they knew I had my CPAP machine with m and connected oxygen via CPAP.
Normally the put the oxygen tupe into yur nose but they have connected mine through my CPAP machine - I did not know the little "thingy" on the mask can be used for thet - thankfuly the nurse knew.
After 4 hours sleeping like that, I woke up as a completely different person - first time in absoute ages.
sorry about my typos, still not 100 % after my op but wanted to let any sleep apnea suferers know what I was told..
Anyway, apparently a GP can prescribe oxygen to be connected to your CPAP machine.
I never knew that.
WEnt to mine when I left the hospital, he could not (log story - my PAP was perscribed before I moved here, is funded by different PCT) but he referred me to another sleep clininc in another hospital and hopefully they wil be able to sort this out for me....
So if your CPAP machine is not giving you the effect /help it should - perhaps this is something you could investigate?0 -
Only joined here yesterday 'gettingready', but was wondering how you got on with your new sleep clinic. Are things improved re your CPAP therapy now? My thinking was that you were perhaps on the wrong pressure, amongst other things.0

Didn't read through the full thread so sorry if this has been mentioned before. Don't have sleep apnea but have trouble sleeping for years. Has improved recently when I found out I was dairy intolerant. Apparently food intolerance and other allergies (cats perhaps) can cause sleeping issues.0
