I would suggest that he write to the orignal company saying that he did not know he had to buy anything else, and could they please cancel his account.
Also say his age etc. Might work. There again I have enough trouble keeping my club on the straight and narrow and I am half his age!

Thanks for your lines. Unfortunately he lives on his own and all his young or older relatives live far from him. I will take him to local government authority office on Monday which runs an advice service like CAB. Hopefully thry will contact both Book and Credit company in writing or through telephone. Another problem is the gentleman is disable and I dont know yet if he will be in a condition to visit advice office
