I recently purchased a pole dancing pole, however im having a really hard time getting any grip on the thing- iv tried rubbing the pole with alcohol.
Before i splash out on any expensive grip-aids/gloves are their any home-found grip aids?
I heard that hairspray works but i dont use hair-spray!!

Beleive it or not my friend used a small amount of shave gel which she says works (never tried it myself) I have heard or hairspray being used too but I've also heard it's not good for the pole.
Apparenty this is supposed to be good for people with sweaty / oily hands (you can get it in the UK)

Personally I use mighty grip powder but then I have dry hands which makes gripping hard.
Do you use any lotions or such on your hands? This can make a massive difference to grip, even what shower gel you use can affect grip too.
Do you have lessons? If so, do you have the same pole as the one you use in class?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Couldn't you buy a cheap container of hairspray though and give it a try? If it's stainless steel, it shouldn't come to any harm. You can get a big can in places such as Lidl or Aldi for around 85p & it would last you for ages I would imagine. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
