  • If your employer tells you are no more entitled to SPP then you need to get SSP1 form from your employer and sick note from your doctor. Contact your local job centre plus (JCP) and make a claim for Incapacity Benefit. Now a days claims can be made on telephone in 2 phone calls, first call from you (lasts 10-20min) and second call from JCP (call lasts 25-40 minutes). You need to tell to JCP that you are no more entitled to SSP. You will receive a tele-filled claim form from JCP to check if the form has been filled correctly. Sign it and send it back in pre-paid envelop to JCP with SSP1 form (from your employer) and you sick note.
you need to inform Tax credit office about your sick and incapacity benefit.
    Good Luck
:money: Doubling of debt equals ’stabilising this financial problem’. This new definition is very handy. Blood pressure doubled in 12 months? Don’t bother treating it, it’s stable! Tumour size doubled? Don’t worry about that cancelled op, your tumour’s stable! Think of the savings that can be made!:money:
  • still not sure had a home visit from work etc was told as of 17/2/07 i would be @ nil pay checked some previous wage slips and salary was made up of occ sick pay and ssp (66days full 66 half) work said on friday that i need to go the the jobby to claim SSP but on read sites etc /stickys on here (payment is made via my employer )and upon checking my payslip i have been rec'ing SSP inc with my OCC SP.
JUST cant understand way work would say go to the jobby to get SSP , dont want to look a bloody idiot going to the job centre.

if am at nil pay now and was getting both SSP AND OCC SICK PAY should work have given me SSP1 and doctors note back on fri 17/2/06.
  • yes.......... if they have not given then you need to get both of them asap.
