Hi
i hope this is the right thread, our washing machine gas finally broken and as
It gets used for 3 loads a day, we have a big family!
We need to go and get one tomorrow any ideas on where to go? We've had a quick look on IKEA but unsure of machine quality, We know Bosch is great but the price is a lot.
Thank you

bought a couple of appliances through appliances direct recently.
Great prices and Sunday delivery, and no I don't work for them!Scrimping the nuts out of life since 2006!:cool:0 -
Whatever make of machine that you choose, you will find a load of people who think that your choice is rubbish and probably another load who have had the same machine for years without the slightest problem.
But, with a bit of luck, you will start another long thread of people disagreeing with one another.
Speaking personally, I have never had a "quality" appliance and have never had a faulty or unreliable one either. Maybe I've just been lucky. Who knows.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

+1 for these guys - delivered within 48 hours, on a Sunday too (tiny bit of cashback on Top Cashback aswell!)0 -
I know they're expensive but buy a Bosch - they typically last about four times as long as most other mid-range brands. If they are too expensive buy a second hand one, it will outlast any Whirlpool/Hotpoint/any other mid range brand that you buy new anyway.
When you are buying just make sure you avoid the WAA-series as these are rebadged Belay Spanish machines - not as good. The extra £20 is well worth spending!
(I work as a washing engineer and see these all day every day)0 -
The budget Bosch models are not much more expensive than the unreliable stuff produced by Candy/Hotpoint/Indesit etc.
Bosch every time, especially if it's going to be used 3 times a day-you'll save the little bit extra in the long run.No free lunch, and no free laptop
