My favs are the fruit candles, not keen on the floral or food ones.0

Hi, my fav is juicy grapefruit, sweet strawberry or fresh cut roses.
I hate the clean cotton it smells like a laundry.
Best bet is to find a store that stocks them & smell them as you can tell from here everybody likes different fragrances.0 -
I've never seen Yankee candles in any stores. Where is the best place to look? I've tried TKMaxx several times but not seen any.
I need to smell a candle before I buy as candles with the same name, ie vanilla or strawberry smell 'different' and I might like one type from one place but not another.
I'm sure I will like the clean cotton one, it has had so many recommendations and the smell of fresh washing is one of my favourite smells.0 -
Try garden centres. Most stock Yankee and Colonial.0

we have a store called Boundry Mills in Shiremoor, Tyne and Wear which sells them. Quite a bit cheaper than the garden centres and had the whole range. Yummmmmmmmm the cherry one is gorgeous! Dont know if Boundry Mills is countrywide??Sealed Pot no 2011

Boundary mill have great prices too...:Tdevonpilgrim wrote:Yes. These are a bit dearer than most candles but they last forever ( the jar candles do anyway) and they smell great from when you first light them till the very end. I do not waste my money on any other candles any more. My top tip is to keep any eye out in TK Maxx as they sometimes do them at half price.:T
Edit: D'oh! Didn't read to the end of the thread!
Went to the Colne one today (now £50 lighter) and there's one just after Ikea on the M6 too.Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -

I brought a load of these , wished i saved my money now and just brought a couple.
I brought quite a few.
I just tried juicy cherry and it didnt smell like real cherry to me it was way over powering to the point it left me with a headache.
I also tried fresh mint , this did smell like real mint ...but again it was too strong for me and just made me feel sick.
Oh well i guess i will have to give them away as a present.0 -
sorry to give this thread such a huge bump, but am very frustrated not being able to find my Christmas Eve jar (just had some toasted fruited bread and it set me off!) - we only live in a one bed flat, how can I lose a huge jar!? Agh. Am going to blame hubby, and for his punishment, I shall go on justcandles or something and buy a nice new one..

any other online recommendations for yankee candles? or any other great smelly candles?0 -
