microwave or surface space. Arghh, help me decide

I have had a microwave in my kitchen since we moved, two years ago. The kitchen isn`t big and I like to cook and bake so have lots of other useful gadgets on the surfaces

I am in a quandry about my microwave. I use it for making custard, making jelly, warming plates and re-heating home cooked food

What would you do? Get rid of the (cheapish) microwave or not?

As we're in the green and ethical forum, it's worth pointing out that microwaves are generally a very energy efficient way to cook and reheat things. You can certainly do more with it than you have mentioned too.

Anyway, if you're unsure put it away somewhere for a few weeks and see how you get on without it.

Think about everything in the kitchen.
It's way too easy to have something - say a breadmaker - on the surface, because you want to use it to make bread.
    However.
If you _don't_ use it to make bread, it's kinda pointless.
