in Gone off!
Tesco excelled themselves this week im my home delivery.
The one i'm most annoyed about is the mouthwash, it seems very unfair to switch a brand for a own-brand and not even honour the original deal. I'm sure they've done this to me before but they make it look like the deal never existed on the receipt (but not if you look in your past order online).
- They were 2 hours late!
- My mint thins were smashed :-(
- They substituted Colgate mouthwash x 2 (£2.50 each) on buy on get one free for
tesco mouthwash x2 (£2 each) - no offer, so i was charged an extra £1.50 - And finally, just to sweeten the deal, the valentines day meal for two that i ordered came with a beef goulash that goes out of date on the 13th!

Do some supermarkets not have a policy where they don't charge extra for subsitutes, say if you order mouthwash @ £2.00 but it's out of stock, and they deliver mouthwash@ £2.80 - you are not charged the difference?

You should never pay more for substitutions, as per their policy. There is a note about excludes "some" offers, but I would phone up customer services and complain anyway! They've done this to me once in a meal deal when the desserts weren't available, and I had the difference refunded even though the policy states that it excludes meal deals.
I'd probably complain about the goulash date as well. Don't know what the normal date range for that is to know if it's a short date product though, as I've never ordered it. But as it is being advertised as a Valentine's meal, it's a reasonable expectation for it to not be use by before then. I'd still use it though, just want my money back.
Did you refuse delivery of the smashed mint thins, or not notice until you were unpacking? Complain about those too. I like complaining.
In fairness, I've always found their CS very helpful when I've had problems.0 -
The substitutes are meant to be checked before you sign? So you have the option to say yes/no.Started DMP Oct 2011 - £7082Feb 2012 - £6562July 2012 - £6112Oct 2012 - £57810
