Hi guys first time posting so please be gentle
Ok in 2008 i took out a £13000 loan with hsbc it costs me £308 a month to pay back
i have never missed a payment and im in the situation of paying it off fully due to a mixture of a payrise , backpay ,savings and a £1500 gift off my mum
i rang hsbc for a settlment figure and they quoted me £5600.43 which i can pay now instanly making me £308 better off a month but rendering my savings none existant :S
hsbc told me that if i see the loan till the end (which is nxt year ) i can have a reward of £1500 payed back to me ...
could i be cheeky and say ok i owe you £5600.46- £1500 would you accept £4100.46 to end the loan now over the phone ???
ive had a few friends say they have done this .But i cnt see it working
anyone have any ideas ?
