It depends on whether its a Next Card, or more likely if it was a 0% deal for buying the sofas. If I remember correctly, its Barclays Partner Finance who do the 0% deal for Next.

Credits given to people if the lender thinks they will make money, with lowest possible risk to themselves. They will score you themselves based on your credit report, not any generic credit score equifax etc.. offer. If it looks to them that you will repay, but not in full and pay them interest over a period, more likely you will get credit, as long as you are not deemed a risk due to defaults and late payments

Probably because they stand to make a wheelbarrow full of money on the tat they've sold you.....they'll be shocked when you don't pay it back though.

Just bought a sofa on finance
how come they have given 1100 pounds on tick?
I don't understand how they have given me finance
In store I just can't understand it.

    Just bought?

Do you mean there is not even a payment due yet?

This looks like you are building up to a "mis-sold" claim earlier than most.

First payments due in a month its 0% interest free for 2 years.
  • Next have reduced my credit before (a couple of weeks after joining although hadn't purchased anything), although have an account with them. I'm happy as sufficient for my needs.

Looks like you've got yourself a lovely new sofa. Enjoy it. :D
    Oh well...
