Good stuff - I assume you have been referred to a better non Estate Agent broker?

Before they credit search you, ask why they are approaching that specific bank. You will tell here if they have a logical reason for the approach.

It sounds like you have a good idea now, as spot on what you said about Halifax and naive to approach them if you had issues with them in the past.

Good luck - keep us posted.

Hi, we finally got accepted for a mortgage yesterday after months of our broker shopping around and getting the best deal for us. My partner has amazing credit and although I am nothing to do with the mortgage as he can afford it on his own, he was declined due to my terrible credit and the fact that I would be living in the same house...I never knew this would be an issue! Basically I think what Im trying to say is that we found the right broker and he put in so much time and effort which I doubt will be reflected in his fee's, to find us the best deal available and that will make a difference to your success im sure :)
  • hi just an update, my broker is waiting to hear back from one company, very drawn out, ive suggested precise to him but have had no response about this yet. going forward,
if anyone has got a broker experienced with this situation who they would recommend could you message me their details? im based in east midlands if that makes a difference.
