Help needed with missing prize please

My daughter won a Facebook competition which closed at the beginning of December - it was for a £900 Sony 3D tv. She had to chase the company after it closed as she was by far in the lead on the votes (she had to show how much of a Glee fan she is with her memorabilia etc). The company said that she had won and they had emailed her but she never received it. She has chased them about 3 times, each time being told that the tv hadn't arrived yet but they would be in touch when it did and would then be delivered the next day. Last week she received an email from the media company behind it (I can't remember the name offhand but she has the email). They advised that they had the tv ready to be sent out to her. She replied and gave our home address and asked if it could be delivered Tuesday. I took the day off and heard nothing. She has since sent 2 more emails asking when it will be delivered and nothing back! I contacted the original competition people via Facebook today advising that the media company have been in touch but that my daughter has sent them 3 emails to which they haven't replied and could they nudge the media company. I checked back and they have deleted my post!!! Please can anyone advise what to do next, it has upset my daughter who was looking forward to getting it. Thanks

You can always threaten to go to the press with something like this, after all they started the promotion to gain good publicity. There's a good chance they will sit up and take notice if you (justifiably) threaten them with the opposite

When I didn't have a prize turn up I contacted the IPM, they looked into it and it was referred on to the advertising board and after about 4 weeks I got my prize thanks to their intervention. I would contact the IPM.

Thanks everyone - I emailed them myself and advised that if I didn't receive a reply then I would be contacting the IMP. Well within 5 minutes I received an email apologising and saying that they hadn't received my daughters emails! hmmmm.

Anyhow, they are arranging for delivery early next week. Never had so much hassle over a prize but it will be worth it when it arrives. Thanks to everyone for your support and advice - its really appreciated.

oooh one more update - a further email included this so now DD is over the moon!!!!

Tuesday should be no problem - I will send you a confirmation again on Monday, but it will be fine - most couriers do next day.

I will also add some extra goodies to the pack that I will add for Abigail - some t-shirts, pencil-cases and bits we have in the office as, although we don't run the Facebook page anymore, it must have been upsetting for her to have her posts deleted by Glee and as she's had to wait so long it's nice for her to have some extras.
